In a tweet on Friday, Aukot dismissed the meeting between Raila and Uhuru, arguing that the talks between the two leaders were selfish as they did not include all Kenyans.

“It's erroneous for @KTNNews to report that the meeting between @UKenyatta and @RailaOdinga is to ensure Kenya is peaceful. This is supporting impunity and to reduce Kenya to a subject of just two folks. #NationalConversation must include all Kenyans,” read one of Aukot’s tweets.

The self-declared official opposition leader further mocked the meeting which was held at Harambee House, terming it as a meeting between a ‘bandia president and the legitimate president’.

“At least finally a "bandia president" is meeting the legitimate president. We will know in due course who is the joker! I will have the last laugh even as we push for a Kenyan #NationalConversation, not individual and selfish talks!” he added.

This comes after Uhuru on Friday held talks with his political-rival Raila at the office of the President in Harambee House, before addressing journalists.

In a joint statement, the two noted that they had resolved to unite Kenyans following the divisive August 8 general election.

They said it was time to put to an end the political differences that have divided more than four generations of Kenyans.
