President Uhuru Kenyatta has hit headlines once more for inviting opposition members Siaya senator James Orengo and Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba to attend a State House summit scheduled to take place on Tuesday next week.
Kenyatta sent the formal invitation through Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.
According to the Star, Kenyatta also invited the Anglo Leasing whistleblower John Githongo.
Githongo, the Inuka Trust CEO, hit the headlines in 2004 when he exposed the corruption scandal involving government ministers in the PNU regime.
National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale and Senate Majority Leader Kindiki Kithure, Kisumu senator Anyang' Nyong'o, Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen and their Kakamega counterpart Bonny Khalwale will also attend.
