The Jubilee government has been criticised for lack of commitment in fulfilling its manifesto as it promised the nation during the last general election.

Opposition politicians speaking on Tuesday at Kamukunji grounds in Kibera during Mashujaa Day rally pointed out that the government has not worked to the expectations of unemployed Kenyans.

“The government should protect its people and their property. If it cannot even provide employment to the people as it promised, then it is time the Nation says enough is enough,” said Sarang’ombe Ward MCA Pius Owino Kotieno.

“Kenyans have no jobs yet they were promised that they would get them in 100 days after election,” he added.

Busia County Women Representative Florence Mutua urged the youths to hold the government responsible for joblessness that they are currently facing.

“Jobs in 100 days to the youths is a promise yet to be fulfilled. It is high time the youths get ready to hold the government accountable. We are tired of being duped while others are benefiting themselves through corruption,” said Ms Mutua.

Siaya Women Representative Dr Christine Ombaka opined the government is giving indications of its collapse as it has failed to fulfil the promises it gave to the citizens,

“The Jubilee government has not fulfilled even a single mission since it took power. Having no money to run even businesses in the parliament is a clear indication of a collapsed government,” expressed Ombaka.
