Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has called for unity in the Opposition a day after his party rubbished the formation of the National Super Alliance (NASA).
According to the Nation, the Bungoma Senator further noted that the opposition will settle on a single presidential candidate who would be backed to face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto in the next general election.
"For us, it will not matter whether it is Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang'ula or Musalia Mudavadi who is picked to be the flagbearer," he said.
"Our focus is to kick Jubilee out of power and start the difficult job of rebuilding the country and ensure all regions benefit from development initiated by the government," he added.
Wetangula was speaking in Shinyalu, Kakamega County on Saturday during a political rally.
Opposition leaders Raila, Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula have all expressed interest in the presidency on a combined alliance ticket.
