The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party has announced that they will not accept results of a rigged elections.
Led by Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, who is also the party's Director of Elections, on Sunday accused the electoral body's secretariat headed by Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba of conspiring with the Isaack Hassan-led team to manipulate next year's elections.
“We are seeing this as a set up being deliberately made, so that the new commissioners will be used as a rubber stamp to some decisions already made when they come into office,” Junet said.
“We will not accept results of a rigged election next year," he added.
The legislator's remarks were reiterated by Siaya Senator James Orengo, who accused the Jubilee administration of deliberately failing to effectively implement the Elections Laws (Amendment) Act 2016 passed by both levels of Houses.
