Former Presidential candidate and Alliance for Real Change leader Abduba Dida has called on Chief Justice David Maraga to ask all judges to resign.
This is after government officials failed to obey court orders regarding the deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna.
Speaking on Thursday, Dida said that the current display of disobedience was uncalled for.
"At this rate, we don't need the Judiciary. CJ Maraga should just ask his judges to resign," Dida said through a post on twitter.
"The executive is doing everything, they even judge and sentence. We shouldn't have institutions that are not functional. Justice George Odunga should stop waiting for miracles."
Dida made the statement moments after Justice Odunga delayed the sentencing of Interior CS Fred Matiang'i, IG Joseph Boinet and the Immigration department boss Gordon Kihalangwa.
Later in the afternoon, Odunga fined the three Sh200, 000 after being found guilty for contempt of court.
