Siaya Senator James Orengo has ridiculed Deputy President remarks that the National Super Alliance (NASA) is “clueless, rudderless, leaderless and disorganised."
Speaking during the burial of renowned scholar Prof Rok Ajulu in Bondo, Siaya County, Orengo said the Opposition was indeed clueless on how to steal from Kenyans.
“The Deputy President is very right. We may be clueless only because we don’t know how to steal Eurobond money. We may be lacking leadership only because we don’t know how to lead in corruption and tribalism,” Orengo said, causing an outburst of laughter among the mourners.
He added: “Baba (in reference to Raila), we may be rudderless because we do not know how to smell where to loot public funds.”
On Friday, during the launch of the Jubilee Party membership smart-card, Ruto assured Jubilee supporters that they will win the election, saying the opposition is no longer as threatening as it was in 2013 polls.
"We faced a formidable opponent with a sitting Prime Minister and a Vice President running almost three-quarters of the government. Today we face a clueless, rudderless, leaderless and disorganised opposition," the DP said.
Orengo said he is optimistic that NASA would dislodge Jubilee regime from power in the August 8 elections.
