NASA principals were nowhere to be seen, in Friday's anti-IEBC demonstrations, despite assurance that they would take part.

Earlier, reports indicated that the principals, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula would take part in the demos, to motivate their supporters. This is because they have not been showing up for the weekly demos, ever since they declared the countrywide protests.

Addressing supporters at Uhuru Park, Siaya senator James Orengo apologised on behalf of the principals, for failing to show up.

He affirmed that they would show up for next week's Monday protests, adding that leaders such as Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya and his Mombasa counterpart Ali Hassan Joho would as well participate.

"On Monday, they will participate. They will be in the streets just like you. Oparanya will be available as well. Joho is in town. They know what is going on here," said Orengo, Friday.
