Siaya senator James Orengo has termed as useless a section of NASA election agents deployed on the ground to provide information on the numbers at tallying centres.

Speaking after figures of live tallying showed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the lead against NASA's Raila Odinga in the presidential race, Orengo expressed frustration brought by the agents whom he said were only good when looking for the job.

“Some of the people we put here are very useless. When they were looking for jobs they were really good but now they have turned out to be a real let-down to us.”

Orengo was with NASA campaign boss Musalia Mudavadi.

Provisional Presidential vote numbers show Uhuru Kenyatta leading with 6,331,140 votes (55 per cent) by 12.30am while NASA’s Raila Odinga comes second with 5,031,737 votes (44 per cent).
