Despite pressure to embrace dialogue with electoral body IEBC, lawyer James Orengo says NASA will continue with its protests across the country to push for electoral reforms.
Last week, opposition leader Raila Odinga vowed to use street protests to push for removal of a number of officials from the commission along with opposing of electoral law amendments by Jubilee party.
At Bomas on Tuesday, Orengo insisted that the strategy will work adding that it prevailed upon during the single party rule in 80s and 90s.
“As much as we shall embrace dialogue, it must run concurrently with street protests. We must show to the world that something is wrong somewhere.
“It worked before when we were few in parliament and it will work again. We want a fair electoral process where actual winners as given their victory,” Orengo said.
Odinga, 72, maintains that he will not participate in the repeat presidential elections until IEBC Chief Executive Ezra Chiloba quits office.
Although Chiloba maintains that he will not quit, the opposition has threatened to physically evict him from office along with other secretariat members.
