Senate Minority leader James Orengo seems unsettled with the golden handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his party leader Raila Odinga.

Instead, Orengo has yet again linked Uhuru to electoral fraud that saw him declared winner of controversial elections in 2017.

"The current IEBC is a felonious enterprise. It was first captured by the state to rig the presidential elections before commissioners becoming greedy players," he said, amid renewed cordial relationship between Raila and Uhuru.

Despite Raila's decision to work with Uhuru, Orengo has been accused by a section of ODM insiders of working hard to wretch the handshake.

In a statement issued after resignation of three IEBC commissioners, the Siaya senator insisted that the move robbed Uhuru legitimacy thus confirming rigging claims.

"The resignations at the IEBC are a symptom of incurable and cancerous disease that bedevils the commission.

"Without a doubt it undermines legitimacy of Jubilee government and confirms that its election was an electoral fraud," he said.

Although it remains unclear about Raila's role in Uhuru's administration, sources intimate that the former PM could be a special envoy for Kenya.

Yet still, besides Orengo, a section of ODM leaders have silently opposed the union, a move that was further deteriorated by deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna.
