Siaya County Senator James Orengo slammed reports that he bribed coastal region members of parliament to denounce NASA house list for minority leader and chief whip.

On Monday reports circulated by NASA blogger, Robert Alai, in social media and published in Kahawatungu blog, alleged the Siaya Senator had sponsored Coast parliamentarians to snub NASA house list for minority leader position and chief whip which was given to John Mbadi and Junet Mohammed respectively.

NASA coalition had chosen to award different positions to different regions in the country for equality purposes.

According to Kahawatungu story, it was reported that James Orengo knew senate minority leader; his targeted position was most likely be given to a different region after Nyanza had got its share.

Due to the situation it was difficult for the Siaya Senator to get his admired job and decided to make coast members of parliament get the job done for him.

However on Tuesday Orengo came out to rubbish those reports saying he didn’t have time for pettiness or greed for office position and personal gain.

“This is the work of 5th columnists whose menu is toxic intrigues blended with reactionary and primitive politics. I have no time for pettiness nor do I have an insatiable appetite and greed for office or personal gain”, Orengo said on Tuesday via his twitter handle.

Coastal region parliamentarians said they had rejected the list because they had been secluded.
