Lawyer James Orengo has dismissed claims that NASA will hold a plebiscite to cater for newly created positions should Raila Odinga win in August.
On Thursday President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto claimed that NASA will subject Kenyans into a referendum to legalize positions that they had created for three of top principals.
But according to Orengo, the positions created in an agreement bringing together five parties will not be subjected to any constitutional amendments.
“Jubilee is now running short of ideas and they are working on propaganda. I don’t know where the idea of referendum is coming from.
“The positions are now new because they will still be Cabinet Secretaries. Let Jubilee find a new way of handling issues other than engaging in propaganda, “he said.
In the agreement, NASA will create Premier Cabinet Secretary Position and two Deputies to accommodate three other parties.
Musalia Mudavadi is expected to be Premier Secretary and will be assisted by Isaac Rutto and Moses Wetangula.
