Until now, Kenyans are yet to know exactly what transpired during the material day with all involved parties giving contradicting accounts on the matter.

"Let me make this matter clear once and for all. All the stories you're getting from them are just concoctions of the truth," he said in an interview with a local TV.

During the event, Raila proceeded alone to a fully packed Uhuru Park in absence of his co-principals Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka.

But despite vicious defense from the trio, Orengo said, they all went missing and could not be reached on phone.

"Ignore whatever people are saying. They were simply no where to be seen and that is the reality. Don't be mislead," said a charged Orengo.

While Kalonzo says the three were under house arrest, Mudavadi has come out strongly claiming that Raila had abandoned them in a city hotel.

Recently, ex-Kakamega senator Bonnie Khalwale claimed that a UN special envoy, Olesegun Obasanjo, had prevailed upon Raila to cancel the event.
