Siaya Senator, James Orengo, was on Tuesday hosted by Hussein Mohamed on Citizen TV where he conspicuously evaded a question touching on his new appointment.
The Siaya legislator is set to take up the role of Minority Leader in the Senate previously held by Bungoma Senator Moses Masika Wetangula who was dethroned on Tuesday.
Asked whether he accepts his new role as the new Senate Minority Leader, Mr.Orengo did not respond directly as asked but instead promised that before he sat on the seat he would first give space to the coalition and the Nasa coalition principles to hear from them.
"Before I sit on the sit I must give space to the coalition, to the principles and by the way all of them as I told you we had a discussion today and another is gonna happen,'" Mr. Orengo said.
Therefore, when asked whether he's not yet accepting the position or would step down in case the so coalition he is intending to hear from before taking his new sit decide otherwise, Orengo again fails to answer as expected and instead claims the decision had already been made for him to take up the role.
"Not that they are going to make a decision, the decision has been made, well let us get there when it's time," Mr. Orengo cut the interviewer short.
