Siaya Senator James Orengo has come out to explain why the subsidised maize flour sold by the government should be free.
According to Orengo, the GOK mark is used on products that are free and that should apply the same to the flour.
"Items marked GOK are usually free and GOK name or symbols should not be used together with trademarks or images of commercial entities," said Orengo on Monday via Twitter.
"Use of GOK symbols or likeness in an advertisement or for trade or business is considered improper use of national symbols and names."
While in Machakos during a NASA rally, the Senator said that once the opposition seizes power, they will hold the Jubilee administration responsible for missing the mark.
