Lawyer James Orengo has laughed off masterly of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his legal team on matters constitutionalism adding that they need to do ‘a bit’ more.
Periodically, Uhuru has found himself on loggerheads with various issues on law with at a time, some of his decisions overturned by the courts.
And Orengo, who successfully prosecuted a petition that let to nullification of Uhuru’s victory, has faulted the president on violation of the rule of law.
“The president and his legal team seems naïve on matters law. He hosts Jubilee MPs at State House, which is against the law. That is a state home that unifies all people.
“For instance, he should not have addressed paramount in absence of NASA MPs. He was doing that as Head of State and not government,” he added.
On the recent impeachment threats should Raila Odinga win; Orengo said it would be impossible without specific ground of removal.
He said Uhuru, should consult widely whenever executing functions to ascertain whether they are state or government related.
