Speaking during a church event on Saturday, Siaya Senator James Orengo, whose name is in the graft list boldly said that he is not afraid of being interrogated over the corruption allegations on his name.

He said that corruption should be fought in all sectors; including the churches, and government institutions, and if President Kenyatta is serous in fighting the vice, he should start with his office and that of his Deputy William Ruto.

Gem Member of Parliament Jakoyo Midiwo stated the list omitted some names of very corrupt individuals, who were allegedly removed by the EACC commission, and demanded that the president include more names, adding that those whose names are in the list should take up the challenge to clear their names to prove their innocence.

The Gem legislator mentioned that Kenyans are poor because of corruption in both the national and county governments, noting that as leaders, they will fight it head on to bring sanity to the country.

Ugenya MP David Ochieng stated that the county cannot grow with its current status of corruption, urging the president to take up the challenge to correct the wrongs in his government, and leaders to ensure the country’s money is well spent.
