Siaya Senator and his Machakos counterpart Johnston Muthama have dismissed claims that the Cord coalition is on brink of disintegration with just 10 months to the next general election.
Speaking at a funeral in Machakos, Muthama said the claims of disgruntlement in the coalition are malicious adding that every individual party within the outfit is an important member.
"At Cord, we know what we are doing. We have our game plan for the 2017 election and would follow through it," Muthama was quoted by Citizen Digital as saying.
Muthama was quick to hit out at the Jubilee government over runaway insecurity and the ever growing extra-judicial killing incidences.
According to him, over 123 Kenyans have lost their lives at the hands of police officers, something he said is a pointer to show that the government has failed to make the citizens' lives safe.
On his part, Orengo said it does not matter who will be the Presidential candidate in the coalition but their aim is to ensure that Jubilee is sent home.
The two leaders further accused Deputy President William Ruto of spending too much public funds in harambees which they say amounts to misuse of public taxes.
