[Photo|Gladys Wanga]Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has alleged attempts on her life, and Nominated senator Janet Ongera.Wanga said, during Monday's NASA anti-IEBC demonstrations, police trolled them from the Nairobi City, all the way to their houses, shooting at their vehicles."They shot at my vehicle continuously and that is the vehicle I was sharing with my colleague Janet Ongera. They followed us all the way to Kijabe street, to Boulevard, back to Serena, to State House Road, all the way to Kileleshwa," she said.Addressing the press, shortly after the incident, the ODM MP, wondered why police were after there lives, yet they were peacefully demonstrating out of the city center."We thought the demonstrations were supposed to be kept out of the CBD. Why are we being pursued all the way to the surbubs if the police have no intentions to kill us?" wondered Wanga.Flanked by various leaders such as Siaya senator James Orengo, Junet Mohammed, and Johnston Muthama, Wanga and Ongera inspected the damage caused on her car."Even with death threats we are inexorable and hellbent to fight for change. We will not be intimidated. The police today followed me and my colleague hon. Ongera to my residential home. They want to kill me," said Wanga, Monday.Orengo condemned the incident, saying police are misusing their powers, following orders from their seniors.Wanga further indicated that NASA and all its leaders and supporters would not relent in the fight against rigged electoral process, regardless of police intimidation.
