Siaya senator James Orengo has fired a warning to Jubilee senators, claiming that revolution shall ‘eat’ their children following their decision to back controversial amendments of the electoral laws.
Orengo also warned that the senators could fall victims of the very changes they were initiating in parliament in future elections.
In a heated debate at the Senate on Thursday, Orengo narrated how former ODM Chairman Henry Kosgey fall victim of the very law he supported in parliament.
“I have been in parliament for long and even took part in debating of controversial laws. I am seeing a situation where revolution will eat Jubilee senators’ sons or even government eating them,” he said.
“Henry Kosgei supported Mlolongo (queue) voting system and was declared a loser in Tinderet despite having the longest queue. Some of you will come crying after August over these same issues in my office,” he added.
Senators passed a legislation that had been passed by National assembly which will allow a manual backup in elections should electronic voting fail.
