Kisumu residents want Siaya Senator James Orengo to be rewarded with the Senate Minority Leader post for his hardwork in the coalitions affairs.
Senator Orengo was in the forefront of the petition that led to the nullification of President Kenyatta's victory leading to a new election.
He has also been a key player in the coalitions affairs and Kisumu residents want him in as the Senate Minority Leader.
" Senator James Orengo has been a key player in NASA's affairs. He has been loyal to the coalition and has represented us in a number of cases which he came out successfully. Orengo is the perfect candidate for the Senate Minority Leader. He actually deserves it," Winston Okello a resident from Kisumu City said.
All this comes up after ODM shocked the whole country when it attempted to dethrone Wetangula as the minority leader.
The Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka approved his removal but suspended it saying he awaits for official communication from the NASA coalition.
If Wetangula is removed successfully out of office, he is to be replaced by Senator James Orengo.
" All Kenyans have witnessed what Senator James Orengo has done for the NASA coalition. He is a key player in NASA and an outspoken lawyer who has mastered the art of politics. He should be rewarded as the Senate Minority Leader," Frank Odhiambo a matatu driver in Kisumu added on.
