Siaya senator, on Tuesday, revealed how they were let down by Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi minutes before the 'oath-taking' of Raila Odinga.
Speaking Citizen TV during an interview, the lawyer claimed that they were in contact with the other principals up to the last minutes before the ceremony.
He dismissed the reasons given by the principals that they were called by a Nigerian number or told to switch off their phones.
"We were in communication, by the way, this thing about Nigerian number is a falsehood. That same day up to the moment when we were driving towards Uhuru park we were in communication. If I give you my telephone number I can show you whom I spoke to have not erased it and the truth of the matter we were in communication until the very last moment," claimed Orengo
"Even we had agreed that they would drive from a particular direction as we would drive from a particular direction and we would meet at Serena hotel. And when we reach around Serena we got the message that they would not be coming," Mr. Orengo expressed the disappointment.
The senator continued to say when the time was running out and there were no signs of the trio showing up Raila had to take the initiative to call them and inform them that he would forgive their apologies.
"And when it looked like Raila was going to face this alone he informed them that he's going to forgive their apologies and extend their apologies to the congregation which he did," concluded Orengo.
The Jan 30 'swearing-in' seems the cause of the rift in Nasa right now though none of the four principals seems ready to acknowledge this publicly.
