Murmurs of reservation are starting to cloud Siaya County politics following Senator James Orengo's announcement that he will declare his political stand on February 28.

Orengo, who, for the last four years has left his opponents guessing on his next political move has perfected in the game having done the same in the run to the 2013 elections.

However, even before he declares the seat he will be vying for, unease is already rife on the ground with his would-be opponents if he goes for gubernatorial position asking him to shelve his ambitions.

Governor Cornel Rasanga's camp is already in jitters as they accuse Orengo of planning to destabilize the county politics even as they claim that the astute University of Nairobi-trained lawyer is beyond county politics and should concentrate on national politics.

On the other side, Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo who has already thrown himself into the ring for the county top seat, has dared the former Ugenya MP to vie as there will be no 'freebies'.

According to Gumbo, Orengo is used to 'unfair tactics' in his nearly four-decades-long political career and that he should be prepared for a bruising battle in the race for the precious ODM ticket.

Other candidates who have joined the crowded race for the seat include Rasanga's 2013 rival William Oduol and former PS Carey Rege.

However, Rasanga has asked Oduol to shelve his ambitions to master the game first as he is 'too young' .
