Counsel James Orengo has yet again insisted that the planned inauguration of Raila Odinga will be done within confines of the law and that President Uhuru Kenyatta's term will be interrupted.
Despite pressure from the international community to drop the plans, NASA has however insisted that the move will united the polarized country.
"The planned swearing-in will unite the polarized country after a bungled election. Our plans are intact," said Oduor Ongwen.
In a swipe at Attorney General Githu Muigai, Orenho said Uhuru's regime will crumble before Christmas.
Although Uhuru remains legally in office, Orengo said, his legitimacy is a doubt given most parts of the country boycotted the controversial October elections.
"I will not tell you how but surely he will not be president by Christmas. As NASA, we shall ensure Raila assumes power," he said in a local TV interview on Thursday.
The Siaya senator is one of the trusted lieutenants of opposition leader Raila Odinga and has represented him in a number of legal battles.
