The new Senate minority leader, James Orengo, on Saturday, advised President Uhuru Kenyatta to keep away Jubilee hardliners who might interfere with the agreement President Uhuru signed with Raila.
According to the Siaya senator, both Jubilee party and NASA leaders have the possibility of spoiling the dialogue though he argued that their Jubilee counterparts were more likely to ruin it.
"I know both sides have snakes who can bite someone and spoil things, but Jubilee has more dangerous snakes than NASA. There are even draculars inside there," said Orengo
Speaking at Dudi in Gem during the burial of high court judge Justice Louis Joseph Onguto, the Siaya senator as well urged the president to show commitment by avoiding such leaders who might possibly spoil everything.
"We want the president to maintain commitment by locking them out of the negotiation room," Mr. Orengo urged the president.
The Siaya lawmaker also asked the president to compensate the 2017 election violence victim before the implementation of the peace deal signed between Raila and Uhuru.
"Raila has given it all for the sake of peace. The government must compensate families affected by the political violence before we proceed," demanded Orengo.
