Celebrated legal Mogul James Orengo may have again started 2018 on the winning note following another court victory on Wednesday morning.
Last year, Orengo, who doubles as Siaya senator, was voted one of the best lawyers in Africa following a series of court victories in a row.
And the decision by Kisumu High Court Judge David Majanja to uphold Governor Anyang' Nyong'o's victory has undoubtedly opened accounts for Orengo this year.
During his submissions throughout the case, Orengo had rendered the case 'defective and below bar' adding that the petitioner, Jack Ranguma filed unconvincing case.
In his ruling, Majanja dismissed the case on grounds that it lacked sufficient evidence to warrant nullification of Nyong'o's victory.
The new development means that the petitioner can only appeal at the Appeals Court in Kisumu if not satisfied with the outcome.
