With only five days to Siaya County ODM nominations, veteran politician James Orengo is yet to settle whether or not to defend his senatorial seat.
Having reportedly paid for both governorship and senatorial nomination fee, Orengo, however, has remained non-committal in campaigns, a reason that has kept most of his opponents guessing.
Siaya County is one of the major battle ground for ODM candidates in nominations with winners virtually assured of winning August elections.
But Orengo, who has directed his energy in organizing troubled National Super Alliance, is yet to publish any campaign material that would albeit show his interest in senatorial race.
Should he be in the ballot, the former Ugenya MP will be facing Margret Akech and Argwings Kodhek in ODM primaries.
In the list that was released by IEBC, Orengo, a close ally of opposition leader Raila Odinga, was enlisted as a senatorial aspirant.
However, Orengo is no stranger to such controversies given in 2013; he made decision to go for senator in the final three weeks of campaigns.
