Kenyan goalkeeper Arnold Otieno Origi played the entire 90 minutes as his club Lillestrom won the Norwegian FA Cup on Sunday.
Lillestron won the Cup after a 3-2 hard fought victory over Sarpsborg 08. Origi’s side beat Stabaek and Eliteserien in the quarterfinal and semi final stages respectively, on the way to the final and the title.
The former Mathare United and Tusker FC goal keeper joined the club in 2013, and has so far featured in over 115 matches in all competitions.
The keepers triumph in Norway came a day after other Kenyan Internationals Jesse Jackson Were and David Owino Calabar won the Zambian Premier League title with Zesco United FC.
In Georgia, Kenyan trio of Amos Nondi, John Macharia and Eric Ouma Marcelo will feature in the Georgian Premier League next season, after their team survived relegation via playoffs.
The trio’s side Kokheti Pohti forced a 2-2 draw against Merani Martvili in the second leg of the playoffs on Sunday, to win the tie 4 - 3 on aggregate.
