Langata Youth Network leader Daniel Orogo has announced his intention of being the next MCA,for Kibera's Sarang'ombe ward.

Orogo, who has been championing for youth leadership in Kibera for a while, made his interest public through his social media accounts on Thursday.

He has outlined some of the areas he intended to put emphasis should he out-do the incumbent MCA, Pius Owino K’otieno come 2017.

"For my candidacy for the MCA of Sarang'ombe ward Kibera constituency 2017 Kenyan general elections;

2 Youth and Women Empowerment

3 Developments of Roads and Infrastructure

4 Accountability and Good Governance

Confirming the move on Friday, the vibrant human rights activist reiterated that he has a vision to transform the ward.

"I am working on everything and next week we shall have a budget forum at Sarang'ombe ward," he said.

Orogo has taken part in various programs within Kibera, nationally as well as taking part in international conferences courtesy of the youth and peace activities he undertakes. Among the activities he has spearheaded include work on Peace, Justice and Cohesion with Global Communities in the informal settlements of Nairobi.
