Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi has been advised to amend his political friendship with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga for him to remain relevant.
ANC Secretary General and Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi said the country had matured to two major political formations following the past three elections.
He said Raila was still popular in the luhya community and the situation was unlikely to change in favour of Mudavadi following the witnessed cracks in NASA.
"Mudavadi's political profile had always been enhanced every time he worked with Raila," he said.
According to him, Odinga could lead a political formation in 2022.
"The same case will replay in 2022 with Odinga being the driving force of one of the formations. The third force is highly untenable if the experiences of the last three election cycles were reviewed," he said.
Osotsi who was last week reinstated as the ANC SG by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) throwing out Barack Muluka, was speaking Kawangware, Nairobi.
He dismissed reports that there were differences between him and Mudavadi.
"I only have divergent opinion on matters of political strategy and fidelity to the law as enshrined in ANC party constitution, political parties Act and constitution of Kenya," said the nominated lawmaker.
"I will not support any aimless and self-destructive political adventures that have retarded our political gains since the foundation of the party in 2015," he added.
