Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chief Executive Officer James Oswago is now saying that he was aware of rigging in 2013 elections.
This is laughable and should the best Kenyans can do is to ignore the rant.
According to a report published in the Daily Nation, July 29, Oswago said that he was aware of rigging but there was nothing he could have done.
He also revealed that the failure of the IEBC's electronic system was due to some 'external forces'.
On July 20, Oswago had criminal charges recommended against him by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and as well as the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) over the Chickengate scandal.
Why are Oswago's rigging claims coming only after EACC recommended that he should be prosecuted? If he was aware of rigging in 2013 general elections, why could he not say it while he was the CEO of IEBC? Why now?
Oswago is a jilted lover who is seeking revenge; a drowning man who is clutching at a straw. It is such people that should be rotting behind bars.
