A section of area residents had alleged that the team comprising of Angwenyi and Richard Onyonka were sidelined in disbursement of Sh2 million that is reportedly given by the Jubilee government by another team led by Senator Chris Bourse in pursuit of thwarting ODM's influence in the region.

Speaking to the reporter on Thursday, Angwenyi dismissed the allegation as cheap propaganda and insisted that the group was determined to unite the community.

“Sometimes it’s unfair for us to be linked with government when we have an agenda of uniting the community for the sake of increasing our bargaining power. The unity we started at Otamba is still intact,” he said.

He added: “Claims that we are given Sh2 million and that we have differed on how to disburse among ourselves are just but cheap propaganda by forces that don’t believe in a good course”.

Angwenyi extended an olive branch to politicians who were still hell bent in joining the unitary movement and predicted their political fall in 2017 elections.

“Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. We are going to sweep political seats as a team in 2017 and those who are not ready to join us should prepare for political humiliation,” he said.
