The school principal in Otamba Girls secondary in Nyaribari Chache constituency has been accused of poor leadership in the school leading to poor performance.
Speaking at the school, parents led by their chairman Charles Nyabayo said that the current principal of the school has failed to lead the decrease of student numbers from 415 to 145.
They alleged that the school principal has misused the school funds without developing it.
“Education standards have gone down prompting the number of students to transfer to other schools,” said Nyabayo.
“In Otamba Girls secondary school the number of students has been decreasing since there is no good dining hall, library and laboratory," said Nyabayo.
"When we try to ask him why students are transferring to other schools the principal doesn't give us a clear answer and always avoids me," added the chairman.
The parents have called on the area Mp Richard Tong’i to intervene to help the situation before the school collapses.
