A section of women drawn from Kisii county have reassured current Kisii county Women Representative Mary Otara of a second term as she has delivered enough according to them.
According to the women, Otara has been on the ground now and again to listen to them and she has spearheaded various projects that have benefited both women and the youth and they believe if re-elected she will take them to the next level.
Speaking on Tuesday when Otara met them, Liz Ongaga who represented the women called upon the Women Rep to continue delivering her services to the locals even if there are few months remaining to the general election.
“We will work with Otara for us to ensure that the women of the county are well empowered and those who are looking to unseat her should wait until 2022 when she will either decide to leave office or continue serving us,” she added.
Otara is currently facing a challenge in defending her seat as she will be facing nominated senator Janet Ong'era and many women who have already set the pace to unseat her.
