Kisii Women Representative Mary Otara says she consulted her constituents before joining Jubilee Party.
Otara, formally inn ODM, left Raila Odinga party in what she called 'internal frustrations' on Sunday.
"The problem with ODM is that they impose leaders on people. Fairness and transparency are historical and this is quit disappointing," she told a gathering at Sameta.
She added: I consulted widely before making the move. I am ready to face my opponents any time because this is about competition."
The first time legislator is set to face Janet Ong'era, a firebrand ODM legislator who has also declared her ambition for the seat.
