Kisii Women representative Mrs Mary Otara has pledged that she will continue to serve the residents through the campaigning period leading to the general elections without interruptions.
Addressing mourners at Bomwando area on Wednesday, the women representative said that she has been working hard towards empowering women and spearing development agendas for the youth and she won’t stop it.
“Development comes first in my career and I would like to tell my competitors that they won’t distract me from delivering to the residents who elected,” she added.
Otara, however, said that she is looking to be the county women representative for the next one term before she makes another move and called upon the residents to support him in doing so.
The women rep is however, facing stiff competition from the nominated Senator Janet Ong’era who is also keenly eying to unseat her. However, a political showdown is expected to loom as both are looking for the ODM ticket.
