Kisii Women Representative Mary Otara now wants National Cohesion and Integration Commission to take disciplinary measures against politicians who incite ordinary people.
Otara says barring such politicians would bring sanity in the political field which she adds that has been 'infested' by the hate mongers.
She also urged locals to work in hand with the police and other government officials in a bid to bring culprits into books of justice.
"NCIC should come with stern disciplinary measures against politicians who spread hatred. We must sanitize our politics and that should even involve barring culprits from contesting," she said on Tuesday at Kerina area.
She added: " Locals should also work with the police to ensure culprits are brought to book. We should not watch people creating unnecessary tension."
She expressed her confidence in retaining her seat despite the opposition being waged by nominated senator Janet Ong'era, who announced her intention to wrestle her on Tuesday.
