Othaya MP Mary Wambui has told off Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua on his latest utterances where he claimed that Wambui is not educated.
Wambui has said that she has been able to bring the much-needed development for her Othaya people despite her academic qualifications.
"When the Governor claims that I was picked from the bush and I have no academic qualifications, he should ask himself what those with degrees have done. Nothing," Wambui said on Tuesday night during an interview with a local vernacular TV.
She added: "And again has he ever heard me address parliament in Kikuyu or seen me being chased out of the house for not understanding the standing orders that are written in English?"
Wambui said that though her 'poor' parents were unable to educate her beyond class eight, she has been able to educate herself to a level that she didn't reveal.
She asked Gachagua to address the issues that led Nyeri MCAs to impeach him from the governor seat and leave her academic qualifications alone.
"Nyeri MCAs have already disqualified him in the position he is serving in. He should be the last person to talk about qualifications," Wambui said.
