Former Ombudsman and Rarieda MP, Otiende Amollo has made his intervention in the raging debate on the parliamentary committees in the process of being formed.The renowned lawyer and scholar has revealed that he once wanted to be the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee but he was prevented by 'cartels'.''As first Ombudsman, I did all I could to hold Govt accountable. I had hoped to do so in Parliament as Chair of Parliamentary Accounts Committee, but the Cartels wouldn’t allow. One day, Parliament will serve the People!''
