Celebrated lawyer Otiende Amollo won yet another major poll petition on Monday at Busia High Court where he successfully defended area governor Sospeter Ojamoong.
Otiende, who also doubles as Rarieda MP, left a landmark in the corridors of justice when he had President Uhuru Kenyatta's victory nullified by the Supreme Court.
An excited former ombudsman said: "Just taken judgement in Busia gubernatorial petition where we successfully defended Governor Ojamoong."
Filed by Peter Odima, a former Chief Campaigner of Paul Otuoma who finished second, Justice Kiarie Kariuki dismissed the case for lack of merit.
"Having perused the evidence provided before the court from all parties, the elections were conducted in accordance with the constitution of Kenya," read the judgment.
The nullified presidential election case in Kenya, the first of its kind in Africa, earned Amollo respect among legal practitioners across the world.
Last week, Otiende moved to court to challenge the decision by government of Kenya to ban NRM wing of NASA on grounds that it was legally constituted.
