Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has warned his constituents and Kenyans at large to be careful, and watch out for fraudsters who are now all over using his name and initiative of building decent houses to his poverty-stricken constituents to rob from innocent Kenyans.
Through his twitter account, the first time MP said that the cons have been using short messages, Facebook and WhatsApp to solicit money from the unsuspecting members of the public in the name of having their houses repaired.
"I have learnt some cons are soliciting money in my name for this and other fake initiatives, by short messages, Facebook and WhatsApp," he tweeted.
The Legislator who recently warmed the hearts of many Kenyans after several photos of him helping his constituents construct new decent houses emerged online, explained that he had reported the matter to the police to carry out investigations and bring the culprits to book.
He further informed the residents that he was not on Facebook adding that those doubting should send him a direct message to confirm the same.
"I have reported these to the police, but wish to warn against falling for these cons. I am not on Facebook either. If in doubt, please direct message me," he tweeted.
