His 'Ondoa Nyasi' strategy of building semi-permanent houses to his constituents from poor background could mark the beginning of his journey to political greatness.

His campaign has gained momentum in the past few weeks and has not gone unnoticed even to those who are not his constituents, a move that could make the former ombudsman the next big thing in the country's political scene.

His predecessors; Nicholas Gumbo and Raphael Tuju had been praised for the impressive development records. And for Amollo, it will be a matter of outshining them.

The Maranda High School old boy first announced his arrival to the political scene in August 2017 when he contested for the Rarieda seat on an ODM ticket.

His light started shining bright when he together with other lawyers represented NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga during the election petition at the Supreme Court.

His presentation during the case and firm understanding of the law caught the attention of many. Since then, he has established himself as among the country's elite lawyers.

For now, he will operate in the shadows of James Orengo in Siaya politics. But with the veteran politician's advancing age, Amollo is the man to watch going forward.
