Busia governor Sospeter Ojaamong' accused his political rival, Funyula MP Paul Otuoma of being behind chaos that erupted in a rally in Funyula market last Friday.
Ojaamong’ who spoke to journalists after appearing before ODM disciplinary committee, said he should not be blamed for the violence, buthis competitor, Otuoma.
“During the Incident, I was in another sub-county. It is my opponent who is fond of causing chaos,” said Ojaamong’.
The governor expressed confidence that the evidence he produced during his probing will help prove his innocence.
“I have brought a lot of video and photographic evidence capturing youths pelting stones as others roughed up people,” he added.
He added that it was regrettable that one person was reported deed following the incident.
Ojaamong' and Otuoma will battle for the ODM party ticket during the ODM nominations which are set to take place in Busia on April 13.
