Funyula MP Paul Otuoma has asked Busia governor Sospeter Ojaamong to brace himself for a bruising political battle during the forthcoming polls.
Speaking on Sunday shortly after launching his gubernatorial campaign, the lawmaker further urged the locals to back his bid, pledging a development-conscious leadership.
"I am going to teach him (Ojaamong) a lifetime political lesson. Let him prepare himself for a bruising battle. We want free, fair and credible elections," he said.
"My main objective is to improve the living standards of our people. I will be coming to your homes to ask for votes. When you hear me knock on the door, please open," he added.
He also called on the electoral agency IEBC to conduct free, fair and credible polls.
Otuoma is eyeing Busia's top seat as an independent candidate after losing the ODM party ticket to Ojaamong during the primaries in April.
