Funyula lawmaker Paul Otuoma has recorded a statement with the police, following claims that he was in possession of fake ballot papers, and leaflets that purported he is a Jubilee candidate.

Speaking after recording statement at the Bumala police station, Thursday morning, Otuoma dismissed having such papers, saying it was a plot to taint his name, so as to be locked out of the nomination race.

As ODM leaders, Otuoma is competing with area governor Sospeter Ojaamong', for the party's ticket, to vie for the governorship. Nominations are being conducted today (April 13).

"It was a plot to try to taint my name so that residents can think nominations are no longer ongoing,'' he told the press.

He also dismissed information on leaflets that said he was suspended by the ODM party, to seek nomination or vie for the governor's seat.

"Another leaflet said I have decamped to Jubilee and that I am a Jubilee mole, in ODM. This is pure propaganda which will not shake me,'' Otuoma said.

However, Ojaamong' maintained his rival was being funded by Jubilee Party. ODM's rival.
