Funyula Member of Parliament has recorded a statement with the police following circulation of newspaper prints in Busia, Thursday, indicating he had decamped to Jubilee party.
The leaflets written “Otuoma defects to Jubilee'' alleged to be from the Daily Nation, went viral in the county.
Otuama however denied the allegations, terming them as 'sideshows'.
He further accused his political rival governor Sospeter Ojaamong’ of being behind them.
"This is foul play and it's unfortunate that some county vehicles are being used to distribute these materials," Otuoma said.
"If you look at the incidences being reported nobody is taking any action,'' he added.
The Funyula legislator expressed confidence that he was going to clinch the ODM party ticket for the Busia gubernatorial race.
"I am very confident that the will of the people of Busia will be expressed here. We hope that the voting material have been secured," Otuoma said.
