Funyula Member of Parliament Paul Otuoma is demanding a direct nomination after the ODM Busia gubernatorial nomination results were nullified.
Otuoma says he deserves the ticket, citing mischief in the allegedly rigged primaries.
He has accused his competitor, Governor Sospeter Ojaamong of planning to rig the repeat of the nominations, scheduled for April 25.
Otuoma on Friday said he would not take part in the ODM repeat primaries in Busia County after the party nullified results of an earlier exercise that was marred by claims of voter fraud.
Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo on Friday warned that they will not allow rigging in ODM primaries to be held in Siaya.
A tough contest is expected, pitting Governor Cornel Rasanga, Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo and Senator James Orengo for the ODM governor ticket.
ODM has nullified nomination results in Khwisero constituency after reports emerged of massive irregularities in the nomination. The nomination has been pushed to 19th of April.
The nominations were also postponed in Matungu constituency.
