Residents celebrated ODM's decision to issue a nomination certificate to Fred Ouda who is the Gem central MCA

Ouda is through to be on the ballot on August 8 for the Kisumu Central MP seat.

Supporters took to the streets chanting ODM slogans.

On Wednesday after ODM issued the provisional certificate to incumbent Ken Obura, protests erupted.

Obura was named winner having garnered 24,601 votes against his closest competitor Fred Ouda who got 13,613 votes.
