Instead of attacking the embattled Budalangi MP, the former premier instead singled out the Jubilee coalition as enemy of the people and not Namwamba.

The Cord leader was addressing his supporters in Budalangi last Wednesday as his western toured entered the third day.

He was in Busia county on Thursday before finalising his tour on Friday in Kakamega county.

The former premier also met Namwamba's mother who had attended the rally.

He was accompanied by governors Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia) and Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamega).

The premier also said Ababu is still welcome in the party and he likened the lawmaker to the Biblical parable of the prodigal son.

"Our enemy is Jubilee, not Ababu. He is one of us, he is my son. He is like the prodigal son of the bible. All I can tell him is that the door is open, come home son. We do not want to see you eating with pigs," he said.
